So I have been busy the last two Months. Here is the WNW DVII completed between the end of July and a couple of days ago. Lozenge is Aviattic cookie cutter 5 color. The streaking is done as usual for me in oils. Tamiya Sky Blue for the Tail and the kit decals for the orange stripes.

Wow, what a beautiful Fokker!
I like all aspects, clean build, decals, color, figure, base - well done!
The streaking is done as usual for me in oils.
Fantastic! What color do you use for this? I tried to mix it (not yet on a model, but test dummy), but failed to match it. Your color tone is exactly, what I wanted to reach ::)
Cheers,
Frank

Beautiful job Rick, and the "streaking" is absolutely spectacular in it's match to the real thing. You can be very proud of this one!

Outstanding Rick, beautifully done. Really love the streaking on this one and your triplane. Congrats

Thanks Frank! As for the Oils this time I used Prussian Blue and Burnt Umber. Some pre Mixed and some blended in separately.

I didn't even realize that you started with this kit... Very nice and one of my favoured shemes on this plane. I wished I hadn't missed the build report as many say these Fokkers aren't without their difficulties to assemble.
Best regards

Thank you Rick for the color description, I will give it a try!

Looking Real Good Amigo !! Had I not done Willie's D VII years ago (about 45) in 1/48 using the Aurora Kit would do one now.

Thanks Andreas. Sorry there is No Build Log other than Face Book. So Many DVII builds on here already and mine offers Nothing New.

No problem Frank. One thing on the Formula, Try raw Umber also. One turns it a little more to the brown side.

Thanks Amigo! I would LOVE to see a Modern Take on a Willi Gabriel DVII done by you! Why not his DVIIF as proposed by Lifelike Decals. Blue and (Yellow) with reversed colors. Don't know where they got the info as I have No Photo references.

Thanks Stephen! Here is the Honest story on my absence! Krow 113 made a comment in his Gotha thread that got me thinking. He said something like, Who would Post if you did not. I answered that I was sure someone would step up and take My Place. So when I finished the Dolphin build I decided to focus on building and not post a reply to every update on every log. The results were as expected. No one really Missed My presence, except perhaps you, and all of the builds had plenty of comments ;D Proved that this Forum is BIGGER than one Modeler. So in the meantime I finished this DVII in record time, @ 2 Months. Thanks again,

Rick,
Thanks for the encouragement but have other schemes to do, so repeating something I have already done is ... --and I am already far behind in building them.

That's awesome! The dark red on the nose looks, imho, just like red should look when put over dark green. The lozenge looks great too, and I really love the streaking!
