I am looking at repairing my Encore SE5A and need some help with the struts. One strut from My crashed kit is broken and I don't have the small piece that broke off. I know SAC made white metal replacement's so would gladly pay for a set. On the other hand if anyone actually has replaced their plastic struts or have a scrapped kit I would also pay for those. Thanks for looking.

Take a thin brass wire (0.5, 0.6 or 0.7mm),
cut a Albion brass pipe to the length of the needed strut,
put the wire through the pipe,
and squeeze it in a vice.
If you don't have a vice, put it on a hard surface and press it down with another hard plate.
Try it, it's easy!
Cheers,
Frank

Beacause of the curves I don't think this is a good candidate for tubing...even if I had some and owned a vise :o If It comes down to making My own I will try the carving method.

Rick,
Hang in there, I'm presently up to my ears in home chores but can probably help with either a SAC replacement or Encore strut, will get back to you tomorrow.
Cheers,
