Title: Tom Sopwith Interview
Post by: LindsayT on October 02, 2012, 04:18:25 AM
Not sure if anyone has seen this, so thought I'd send it along.

It's a 1984 interview with Sir T.O.M. Sopwith, who has some pretty incredible stories. There's some spectacular footage of what a Camel was capable of doing, intentionally or otherwise. Sir Tom's last line is the real gem of the piece, though.

Enjoy,

Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay for posting this, it was very interesting, even in his advanced years he still had a terrific memory, what a life he must have lived.

As an afterthought/addition: I noted another Video on the link page (Youtube), "World War One Aces Falling" and viewed it. It's +40 minutes however some fascinating coverage of McCudden and Mannock, some great original footage and also bits on McCudden's letters, Diary, and awards as still kept in museums. Last, info on Mannock's probable gravesite. Very entertaining clip I think most would enjoy.
Cheers,
Lance
