Lurker looking to start contributing
« on: August 15, 2015, 09:41:14 AM »
Hey everyone,

I've been lurking for some time on the forums and basically joined when someone sent the link to a tutorial and how to article here.  Some of you may know me from LSM forums and he Wingnut Wings Fan page on face book.

I'm a bit of a late comer to scale modeling, did a little during my youth but racing bikes put an end to that.

I got in to large scale modeling through the game Wings of Glory which uses 1/144 scale aircraft miniatures and this resulted in me building Valom/Shapeways WWI models in 1/144 scale.

So far I have started 3 builds since I got in to the hobby in August/September 2014 with only 1 completed due to one reason or another, most time restrictions and skill level.

Anyway I look forward to becoming a more active member here.

James

Hi James,

welcome to the forum, from my experience I can say this is the very place where one can learn from real masters.

And it is very nice to welcome another modeller building 1/144 scale!

Cheers

Ondra

Hi Ondra,

I think I'm hooked on WnW kits and everything else is on the shelf of doom.

Here are a couple of shapeways W.29's converted for the Wings of Glory Game.

All the decals are homemade.

A wargamer, eh? You must have good eyesight to be building those tiny ones. By the way, I like lurkers, they're very nice dogs.   :P

I could do with borrowing that dragon head to scare off the seagulls that poo all over the car and rip open the dustbin bags.
