Hi friends,
finished this one in January 2016, hope you like it.
Today only 2 pictures of the completed W12 taken at a modelshow in March in Germany, more to come in the next future.
here some pics of the build
stearwheel wrapped with copperwire
I tried to show the warped wood of the floats
some wire and rod added to the engine (Alclad and oil washing)
fuselage completed
floats added
wings added
my attempt at doing a waterside display...
cheers,
Jörg

This is excellent. I particularly like the warped wood effect which is such a feature of these aircraft.

From the wingtip down to the base an absolutely amazing model. One of the best sea planes I've ever seen. Chapeau!!

And a very convincing waterside base, too. I really would like to learn more about the way you did that.

As all others said: an outstanding work!
There is noting more to say.
Two things I like here: The debris on the beach! Geat, first time I see it.
The second is the "stressed skin" effect at the floats. Superb.
Bye,

Thank you all for your kind comments! I did the base in the "malaula way ", my old friend Matz discribed it in this forum: "WWI Aircraft Dioramas - Base for Seaplanes". Just have a look, you will see its an easy and effectiv way
Cheers
