Sandy
Thanks for your post. We have been trying to update Des' website to make note of his passing and direct any inquiries to this forum. There's a technical matter to be addressed first. But these things will be attended to.
Anyone seeking further information is invited to contact me at :
[email protected]The intention is to leave Des' website exactly as he left it, as a permanent memorial and reference resource for modellers and highlighting his builds. While the Forum can evolve I want to keep the website as 100 per cent Des' legacy.
The poignancy of his unfinished Wingnuts Dolphin is something I feel only adds to the lustre of the site. It's as if Des has just popped out and will be back in a minute.
In fact the unfinished components of the Dolphin kit went to New Zealand with the rest of his superb scale models for eventual display at one of the finest WW1 aviation collections in the world – the 1914-18 Aviation Heritage Trust's Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Marlborough.
