Been busy the last 2 days. I finished re-decalling the top wing, installed the ailerons making sure they match the lower wings ones. Installed the bell cranks for the upper wing ailerons and they finally installed the upper wing. With the Aviattic cookie cutter decals it really helps to speed up applying the lozenge decals. With the help of my "Better Half" was able to take some pics "revving the engine". Check it out!
Tomorrow hopefully on to the rigging.
Chuck
P.S. Just ignore that giant hand in the pics. I totally out of scale!

Absolutely stunning, Chuck! You've made me rethink the scheme I plan on doing on mine. Yours looks so good, now I want to do one of the other Kest 5 machines.
Cheers,
Bud

Beautiful work! I won't be buying the Eduard kit but seeing yours is making me rethink my decision not to get the Roden 1/32nd one

Thanks Bud and Rick!
Yea I know that most modelers do Udet's airplane. I think that's because it's a famous ace and a colorful scheme. A deadly combination in the modeling world. LOL! I usually like to do something a little different and with the SSW there's not an overwelming choice of aircraft to pick from to begin with.
The Kest 5 and also the Kest 4b offer some nice alternatives.

Thanks Martin and Des!
I realized today while starting the rigging that I forgot to install the clear windscreen.
Dang'it!!! Now I have to figure out how to get that in between the top wing and the fuselage.
I think that I'll use some white glue to stick it in place. That way it will be easier to clean up any excess glue with a damp brush. Oh well...$h1t happens!

Chuck,
Outstanding update my friend. Wouldn't worry too much about the windscreen just call it light Archie damage. Keep up the excellence.
