Hi from Bonny Scotland
« on: July 16, 2012, 05:50:52 PM »
Well probably like many here, I had to put modelling aside to join the real world of marrage and family. Now that the off-spring have flown the coupe I have regained my modelling room.

To celibrate a recient birthday I was bought my first ever WW1 aircraft.
Now being a design engineer I just cant resist going that extra mile on detail. So doing some research for my 1/72 B2F I came across this site. Fantastic information.

So out came the micro drills and I bought the finest trout fishing line I could find. Its a bit rough around the edges as I dont have a compressor at the moment. I have just replaced the wheels (the ones in the kit were too narrow) and they need painting. I am also replacing the scarf ring and machine gun, but will post later on how I will be going about that.

So here is my first attempt at a WW1 model
