This is the fairly new Thunder models 1/35 kit, and a really good model it is too. Not too complex to build, with an interesting way of assembling the plastic wheels (quite large!) so that the tread detail is just about perfect! Some PE supplied too, but nothing too dramatic. A large selection of shells and changes are supplied... No markings on the gun itself, and usually they were kept in good condition so not heavily weathered here, I do plan on putting it behind a Scammell Artillery Tractor! And a not entirely irrelevant subject as these were WW1 guns with relined barrels and pneumatic tyres - even on the original carriages.













If you consider this subject, I can recommend this kit!

hey Marc!
i find it stranga how guns are under rapresented in the ww1 modelling world considering how important and widespread was artillery during the war....
nevertheless your effort has really tourned out in a great model (by the way is it resin?) and it could be the center of the scene in a diorama.

Hi Edo! Thanks for commenting. It is an all plastic kit, nicely moulded, with some details in Photo-etch. Thunder models are relatively new on the scene but do a great job - it was fun to build! Yes, quite a few artillery pieces available in resin, but few in plastic... here's hoping we see more! I might put it on a base behind the Scammell...
