Title: Mercedes D.1 engine
Post by: Des on July 06, 2012, 07:02:32 PM
My next project requires a Mercedes D.1 engine, does anyone have photos of this particular engine, it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Des.

Found this by googling around. Appears to be a museum display, so the trick will be to figure out What museum...

Perhaps it is useful to remember that Taurus makes a good looking 1/48 th scale resin D.i, some pix here:

Some more leads, from Aeroscale review of the above:

Quote
The museum in Krakow has one of the D.I motors. Also 1:72 & 1:48 drawings can be found in the book “Albatros B.II” by Piotr Mrozokowski published by Model Centrum.

Interesting engine display but the coffee cup collection seems a little sparse......
