Takom M103A3 1/35
« on: April 17, 2024, 05:03:20 AM »
Another one saved from the shelf of doom  ;)

I know this forum is more geared towards WW1 and planes in general, but maybe there's more like me who likes the occasional armor build  :)

I used to really like this tank when I played World Of Tanks, so when Takom finally released a kit I had to get it!
Its got a huge part count! But it mostly fit together well. Only a few places on the lower hull had to be filled and the cast armor texture redone.
Tracks are individual links... 5 parts per link... 80 links per side  ??? But they do look nice!

Apart from some experimentation with color modulation I kept the build fairly simple.

I like looking at armoured vehicles built, but whenever I try to build one it feels like it's a completely different thing to building aircraft.

So, I'll just stick to looking at your excellent job!

Thanks guys  ;D

I like it because it is a bit different than my airplanes. It also helps me practice weathering. I really want to improve on this area  :)
