Hello everyone,
this is my first post after long time. I needed a creative break. However, some months ago I continued modelling and this week I finished my DFW C.V.
The propeller I made from wood. That was the first time for me.
Basic color for the aircraft was AK11097 "Burnt Red"
I started a build log in this forum and in the German Revell forum. However, I completed only that one in German https://community.revell.de/viewtopic.php?t=9373 (https://community.revell.de/viewtopic.php?t=9373).
Sorry for that...
Here are some (most likely too many) pictures

Rafael,
Lots of really well done detailing here and the color scheme is very unique. A VERY lovely model you can be extremely proud of, well done!
Last, that prop is magnificent, and especially so if it's your first one!
All the Best,
Lance

Beautiful model. How did you do the leather effects? I was going to build this one next but ended up starting the Ninak while I waited for some masks and photoetch. I love the color scheme. congratulations on finishing!

Thank you so much for your nice words!!
How did you do the leather effects?
I painted the leather (ring/pad for the parabellum) wet on wet with the two different colours Tamiya XF52 Flat Earth and XF68 Nato Brown with a brush. After drying I applied a coat of Tamiya clear orange, a little bit toned down with X1 black. For the finish I used some matt varnish.
Best Regards
Rafael

I'll have to try that method, it sounds fun!
When the model's this good there's no such thing as too many pictures. Beautiful work Rafael and thank you for sharing it in so much detail.

Fantastich, Rafael. I was just considering buying one of these today, but thought "ho-hum, another German two-seater..." But after seeing yours, I may well have to go for it!

Very, very beautiful, Rafael! Thanks for posting!

That looks so good, Rafael.
I sold my DFW kit as I thought I'd never build it with so many scouts still to make. Hmm. Bad decision. Seeing your model makes me realise what a superb result can be achieved.
Congrats

Really stunning build! Really like the scheme and feel you captured!
I've always dismissed the DFW as I found it uninteresting... However you are making me wonder if I should get it now... Available at MBK... Hmmm ;D
Great work!
