Hi Bud:

For a kit engine I think it looks pretty darned nice.  You got the oily look to it and it will look good sitting in the front end of this bird.  The mods on the gun improve it 100% as it adds just that little touch of "detail" that otherwise is lacking and it looks like an easy mod to do.  Heck, I may even try it!   ;)  Looking forward to the next phase.

Thanks, Mark!  Yeah, the gun mod is easy.  It only added 20 minutes to the build.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks, Dave.  Here is what the Gaspatch Vickers looks like.
Very realistic looking.  I used one on my Tripe.
Cheers,
Bud

I'm hoping like mad that the Gaspatch guns are as good as that image. As far as I can tell, all the pictures on their site are computer generated. I've just ordered a pair of Alkan-Hamy Vickers and a pair of Darne Lewis guns and I would like to have seen pictures of the actual parts

I am extremely impressed by your relatively simple but very effective mod to that Vickers gun. You have changed it completely with such a small mod.

Stephen.

Thanks, guys!
Richard, the Gaspatch guns are indeed as good as the computer images.  If you look at the in package photos, you are looking at the real thing.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks Bud. I've heard good things about them and after trying to modify some of the Eduard Brassin ones decided to give them a go

Looking forward to them arriving

And if they are as good as your modified kit gun, I will be well satisified

The Vickers looks great! Something else that really stands out is the leather cockpit coaming pad!

So great that one. The way you improved the kit's Vickers is great. I'll copy that idea and it makes a Gaspatch Vickers superfluous for me (better spending my money on Gaspatch Spandaus...). Overall it's a beauty up till now and I am sure it will be even more beautiful when finished.
