Both looking very fine indeed Rick. I don't think I could manage a double like this and get your fine results; great flexibility on your part!

Lance

I agree!  Especially considering the dissimilarity of types.  What a challenge!

They look gorgeous. Really nicely done. This is another Albie to tempt me.
James

Thanks James, I appreciate you following my build and your comments!

Both looking really nice Rick. I love the scheme on the Albatros, simple but effective. Although not so simple to actually mask and paint. Good job.

Tom

Tom,
Yes the Chevron scheme is interesting and adds something to the plain wood fuselage. Goes well with lozenge also! IMHO,

Superb birds Rick!  Way to go! ;D

Cheers and huzzas,

Thanks Rob, Your comments are certainly appreciated!

Getting very close on finishing this Rick . Looking forward to seeing these two beauties rigged .

Terri

Thanks Terri! I will be rigging soon! Maybe this weekend as I actually have Saturday and Sunday off!!

Lance,
It really isn't that difficult...otherwise I couldn't do it  ;D I Have alternated between the two. When I reached a certain point on the Snipe, I switched to the Albatros until I caught up... so forth and so on.

Thanks Amigo! I happen to think that building two in different scales is more difficult  8)

Nothing to show photo wise yet but... I have begun rigging the Snipe. Got the Cabanes done after work today. Tight and tough work! Tomorrow night I hope to get all of the interplane strut bracing done and then will think about photos. Once those wires are done expecting a pretty straight forward rigging of the rest! As for the Albie, I will begin the rigging on my next day off.... Hopefully  8)

Finally an Update worth posting:
I have completed the rigging of the cabanes and all of the wing rigging. I have some touch up painting to do and obviously have to re-attach the ailerons and tail surfaces I knocked off during the process. Overall I am happy with the results. I will probably go back with white glue to simulate the anchor points at the base of the struts.

Rick, I must apologise for somehow missing such a lot of your build. :-[ I am really
gob-smacked with your models!  First the Alby...it is an absolute stunner.  Your
woodgrain is amazing and what a lovely job of the lozenge and decals.
As for the Snipe, as far as I am concerned, it is awfully close to perfection!  The colour
scheme is really attractive, the PC-12 very well done.  Your attention to detail is
terrific. Well done on the rigging...just great. :D
If I can even come close to the excellence of your builds, my friend, I will be some pleased.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
The new old guy, take two...

Rick, this looks superb. I had a chance to buy the early Snipe a couple of days ago and chose instead the DV. Seeing your beautiful work makes me wonder now if I've just made a big mistake!

Best wishes
Nigel
