Rick a great update about painting and lozenge decals.
What rip tapes do you use?
And what colour up and under wing?

Hello Rick:

Both wings looking good.  As was mentioned, one would never know you had difficulty wtih the lozenge decals.  Looking forward to further progress.  I joined the Snipe "hunt" as well.

Best

Both the Snipe and the Albatros are coming along beautifully.  The lozenge looks flawless.  Brilliant work, Amigo!
Cheers,
Bud

Rick, all finishes look first-rate, especially the lozenge.  These will be beautiful models cwhen complete. ;D
Keep up the very fine work!

Both looking great Rick. I'm hoping to get the wings on my Snipe over the weekend, looks like we're just about at the same stage.

I think this Snipe hunt will be quite fruitful.

All coming along sweet now, Rick - looking at the pictures you would never know you were having problems trimming the lozenge decals - all looks very neat, actually.

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave! As always your comments are appreciated!! I want to be clear the Lozenge presents no trouble as long as you MEAURE/Outline the wings carefully! Trimming excess when you don't is the Issue!!!!!!

Thanks Patrick! I do enjoy the shading now, took me a while/2 or 3 Models to get comfortable with the method... still learning as I go. I am very happy in particular with the Upper surface Snipe Shading. In 1 to 1 viewing it looks just like I wanted  :D

Martin,
I appreciate your comments! As for the Rib Tapes, I used WNW rib tapes available as a separate item on their website. As for the color I used the Pink for an aircraft from the Albatros factory Johannistal,(Spelling?) on both upper and under. The WNW sheet gives Pink, blue, and CDL.

yes Mark I saw that you are doing the same bird as I am  ;) You actually changed my plans a little in that I only did the rear panel behind the cockpit in grey instead of all of the grey as from the factory. Wanted mine to be a little different. Actually as I am doing it in overall PC 10 mine should be Starkly different  8)

Thanks Tom! I am certainly following your build to take in some pointers. With Mark building one we have some great Modeling to keep pace with on this Snipe Hunt!

A small update: The Snipe has had its upper wing and fuselage markings applied. I used the "Original" placement of the serial number, supplied by WNW, to show the aircraft as it might have appeared during the last weeks of the War. The lower wing is attached as are the cabane struts. WNW makes the strut attachment easy! Just don't hold your airbrush in your mouth to switch positions on the hand holding the model when gloss coating. You could drop the airbrush and hit the model, breaking a strut etc.  :-X The repair went well by the way....

NICE, Rick!  Brilliant decal work.  Really brings out the brown in the paint.
Cheers,
Bud
