I will add my chirping to the admiration of your project, Rick.  Your wood colour is
great on the Albatros, very nice indeed.  I noticed you have used my work bench
as a model for yours. ;) ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Brilliant progress, Amigo!  You're really flying right along on this project.  I love the golden tones of your woodgrain on the Albi.
Cheers,
Bud

Well Rick I can clearly see two different aircrafts and a few little bottles. I meant the organization in the brains for planning the next steps. And you know every two days I have to clean up the mess on my bench.

Keep on the great work Rick

Kind regards
Patrick

My Brain probably looks like my bench  ;) As for determining on what part/assembly I tackle next it is usually dictated by a stopping point on the other kit.I then just follow DIRECTIONS!

Thanks Ernie, I appreciate your comments. As for the Desk, I think I hold the title for MESS!

Bud, Thanks Amigo, I appreciate you following along. The Wood tones are what I normally do on Albatros Models, Polyscale CDL, Raw Sienna, then a mix of raw and burnt sienna. Blended and brushed together.

I don't see a mess, all I see is a well used model desk  :)  You are making excellent progress Rick, like others have said the wood colour on the Albatros is beautiful.

Thanks for the Compliment on the wood grain des. I appreciate your feedback! As for the work Desk, it is what it is  8)

I have a question regarding the Snipe rigging. I am adding a photo with circles to emphasize the area in question. Where did you,( or anyone who has built a Snipe), Anchor the line running through the hole in the fuselage?
TIA,

I have painted the first coat of PC10. The pictures are not quite up to par. The color is on the brown side of PC 10 yet the pictures show a more greenish/brown. I guess if you can fool the camera then the PC 10 is about right. There are also 2 different shades on the fuselage. The first greenish brown and the fabric areas brownish. I will go back and do some Post Shading later....

Thanks Patrick! As always I appreciate your comments and your following of my builds!

Martin, I appreciate your compliment! The Paint used was Gunze RLM 71 and Some Crimson Mixed in to lead it to the Brown range. Mixed with Lacquer Thinner it sprays very smoothly!

Thanks Nigel, although it is Rick not Patrick  8)

Thanks Ernie, as I always I appreciate your comments and input!
I have made some progress in the last few days. I have Drilled all of the rigging holes in the snipe. ( The Albatros wing was drilled a couple of years ago). I am planning on taping off ribs and post shading the upper wings of the Snipe tonight or tomorrow.

Hello Rick:

I like the PC10.  Looks right, but then almost shade of greenish brown would be right, it's all in the eyes of the beholder.  I am going to pull my Snipe out of the stash tonight and start doing some work on it.

Looking forward to the next update.

Best

Thanks mark, I appreciate your comments. I tend to struggle with PC 10. I think I have it nailed down then it looks too green or too brown, or too reddish/brown to my eyes  ::)
