This mornig the WNW news letter arrived and it says:
New model on display at Chattanooga;
-32068 1/32 All new model in develodment for 2020 to be revealed on 7th August
I hope someone from our American forum buddies will be there and take a lot of pictures of their new kit.
Let's start guessing.
Bye,
Manni

Got that email, too. It is very exciting :)
And I am sure FB will be buzzing with the photos and news on Aug 7th - it will already be afternoon in Europe :)
And it will be Friedrichshafen FF.33 - my wildest dream!
-
i'm a say Zeppelin Staaken, even though what i really expect (and want just as much) is a DH.4.
-
I think the new model in develodment will be DH.4 (American).
My wildest dream is SPAD XIV or XVI.

I vote for a thomas morse

Sounds like something new and maybe big- but not a Zeppelin.
Hoping it’s an Adriatic flying boat.
A Spad or Dr1 ? A Friedrichshaffen? A non Brit or German subject? Who knows!
Dh4 will come out sometime- but will they still have a lot of Dh 9 s and 9a’s to sell...

A New series on Squadron Histories. The First to the Last featuring:
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter
Hawker Fury
Hawker Hurricane Mk.1
Gloster Meteor
Tornado F3
All in 43 Squadron RFC/RAF Markings. Huge box and it will only cost about a Grand 8)

HAHAHA!!
-
I'll be going to the convention.
If its a Thomas Morse, I'll have to rethink my next scratchbuild!
-
A DH4 would be great, as would a Strutter...and it seems unlikely it'd be yet another massive bomber...or how about something like the French equivalent of the DH4, the old warhorse Breguet 14?
-
A DH4 would be good. I understand it has the same wings and tail surfaces as the DH9, so maybe less development effort?
-
ii would loooove a Lohner flying boat is a sSPAD VII/XIII: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CsWZibHVYAAKMnN.jpg

All these guesses are great (except for the ones which suggest WW2 subjects >:( )
It could well be the DH.4, though I'd be surprised if that was produced as any other than a multi-kit project. At least two, for Eagle and Liberty powered types. In fact the Eagle was developed considerably during the war; though I don't know how much visible difference there was between early and late engines. And the DH.4 was fitted with many other engines at different times, Puma, RAF etc.
But the American DH.4 sounds like a good suggestion for this particular show.
If not the DH.4, maybe the SPAD XIII?
Now I'll offer my usual futile vote for a SPAD XII, or SSW D.IV, or something - anything - Austro-Hungarian...

OK, so a little more serious answer here. with the release of the Gotha G1 and float version I feel safe to say that No One can have a clue as to What Sir Peter wants and WNW makes :D

I am definitely sure this time: It will be a Bf-109.

Exactly what I was thinking too. :)
I have to think the folks at WNW get a good chuckle over the flurry of speculations that take place every time they announce a new kit coming.

Hanriot HD.1.
;)
vB
-
Friedrichshafen G.III. That would complete the German bomber trio.
Hanriot HD.1 in Belgian Markings
A Voisin or Farmen early war would be cool
-
Anything is fine, just surprise us (oh, that's what they are doing :o)
-
im thinking as wingnut wings likes to do things big a caproni ca3 or on the flip side a little nieuport 11 :)

Fe-8 , nuff said

If it was the FE8 it would be great, the theory of carefully watching the boxes of models already released would be checked.
In general, I would prefer it to be a pusher. Besides, it seems to me that this time it will not be as big as Gothas or 0/400 - now it's time for something smaller - at most a two-seater, but something unexpected (!?) like SPAD XI / XVI,
Pure wishful thinking

1/32 Avro Anson like the restored example at Omaka. ;D
-
And Borsos... that 109 is shot down in flames immediately! One-and-a-half-Strutter for me...
-
Not that it matters, but I would really like to see any BE or Strutter.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Another vote for the FE8. Terri and Buzby - I expect, like me, you saw it there in the background of the new Gotha G.1 box art.

A Short seaplane?
Something Austro-Hungarian (pleeeeease).
-
A DH.4 seems really boring to me; too similar to multiple other WNW kits already released.
The Hanriot Hd.1 suggestion would be nice.
Whatever it is, you can bet your bottom dollar it will be British or German.
-
Short 184 - pleeeeeeease!
-
So many great suggestions! Surprise us WNW!

Just saw on Facebook, it is a Dr.1 Triplane.

I can hear the squeals of delight echoing across the land! I'm in for at least one. Now to decided whether or not to keep my old Encore kit.
:-)

Dr. I Triplane? okay. But I do hope it's Pfalz, not Fokker or Albie prototype !?

This is incredibly good news for me.
But now we have to wait until next year to actually get our hands on it!

PS: I will also build My Encore and Roden kits still in the stash ::)

I am obviously not too wrong with my bet on a Bf-109... ;D
