WW1 project and prototype
« on: May 27, 2020, 06:16:56 AM »
So since I already got some WW1 aircraft model in stock, before starrting them,I decided to do a recap of what I got
-Pfalz DIII from eduard wich is going to be use for a triplan (I got a resin conversion):

-2 Fokker DVII MAG ,I decided to do 1 romanian and the other will eb somewhat of a surprise, both will be base on the Wnr 3867 configuration

-2 Roden fokker DVII ,1 is going to be use for an aircraft base on the V24
-Albatros DIII from roden at 1/32 scale,I'll base him on the prototype
-Fokker DVII from dragon (don't know what to do with him for now)

I think that's about it. With 1 DVII MAG,I wanted to do one base on the V22 ,but the radiator is verry different and I'm not experienced enough to scratch one

Thanks, also eduard seem to have changed 3867 losange pattern in their 1/72 scale DVII MAG.
Got to wonder why they reissue their OAW DVII at 1/48 scale but not the OAW and fokker one

Is it possible to do wood on propeller with a brush or not?
I'm planning to acquire the du doch nicht box,the albatros DV will be base on the prototype, the fokker Dr1 will be use for a F1 (only 3 were build,so I think I got what if opportunity with this one), the DVII from OAW will be use for a orderred but unbuilt aircraft.

Yes, you can get a wood grain effect on a propeller with a brush

I think I'll use a 1/72 DVII MAG from eduard for the V22 since it got more radiator and fuselage option

The Pfalz Triplane picture is a good find, I had it only in a small version.
If you like to see a build report of this rare bird you can find it here:

Have fun modeling,

thanks! That's going to be useful! I got the same conversion set and the DVII MAG base on the V22 will be czechoslovakian.
What was the engine of this prototype?

This looks like an interesting collection that you intend to build. Mind if I follow along?

The engine was an Austro-Daimler AD6 200hp engine.

Since my DVII MAG losange got some damage and the pattern has changed in the 1/72 box,I decided to do both without losange.
1 will be romanian with the same configuration as 38.67

the other will be from the hungarian red army and I'm thinking of doing something unique with this one (the configuration will beidentical to the one of the 38.67)

The DVII MAG base on the V22 will be done using the 1/72 scale one from eduard and it's going to be a czechoslovakian aircraft.
