Title: Looking to buy - 1/48 and 1/72
Post by: Brad Cancian on August 14, 2019, 06:39:26 PM
Hi all - I am looking to buy the following kits, if you have some to get rid of... these are in 1/48 and 1/72 predominantly.

1/48:
Eduard Morane Saulnier "L" Parasol
Aeroclub Sopwith Pup (the later release, not the earlier vac form kit)
Flashback Hansa-Brandenburg W.29
Copper State Models Aviatik B.II

1/72:
Chororzy RE-8
HR Models Sopwith Pup (any boxing)

Sing out if you have any of these, or any other obscure 1/48 or 1/72 kits that you'd be happy to part with :)

Cheers!

Brad,
I will take a look through my stash.
I'm sure I have the W.29 in there somewhere and if so, it's yours for just the postage.

If you don't hear back from me in a couple of days you'll know that the W.29 was given a  Viking burial during the plastic reformation from 48th to Wingnut Wonders.

Hi Brad

I think I can help you with the Eduard Morane Saulnier "L" Parasol.

I'll go through the stash and see what else is calling your name for a new home :)

cheers

Dave

Thanks to all for your responses here and on PM - I now have a couple of leads to follow up!

Bob, should you find the kit, your offer is extremely generous, but i'd certainly feel like i'd owe you more than the cost of postage!

Cheers

Hi Brad,
Since you are less likely to find the 1/72 kits here, I can suggest these sources:

Choroszy R.E.8 -
https://www.jadarhobby.pl/choroszy-a083-re8-172-p-28780.html
Or: https://modelbud.pl/en_US/searchquery/Re-8/1/phot/5?url=Re-8

HR Model Sopwith Pup -
https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HRP72044 - A Beardmore built Pup, last one in stock.
https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HRP72041 - Japanese Pup, two in stock.

Good luck,
Ehud

Hi Brad,
Found the W.29 and it's as I remembered, bought second hand, partly started (engine, floats, parts removed from gates, but not paint has been splashed) but looks in good nick.
The only downside is there are no decals, but you have a plotter, so you shouldn't have to much problem with making masks the crosses. The lozenge can be sought from Aviattic.

I can sling all the bits in a smaller box to help with shipping or you can have it as is - up to you.

Let me know.
Cheers,
Bob
