LVG C.IV, Pegasus 1/72
« on: January 17, 2022, 11:38:42 PM »
After a "just" 6 years I finished this bird.

You can find the long version here: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=7870.0

Now, after it is finished I must admit I am happy I pulled it from the shelf of doom and finished it. It sometimes just need some time to find the mojo angain and it is more satisfying to finish something than throwing it in the bin.

And now the pictures

A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster

Given that is a Pegasus kit you deserve the most enormous pat on the back. That is a super model - the wood effect is outstanding.

Congratulations Wolf, I'm glad you rescued this one and persevered. What a little beauty. The fuselage finish is stunning!

Wow, you finished a very beautiful model here! Very nice, that it not ends in the bin.
I really like the first shot, where it comes out of the dark.
I look forward to seeing this live one day in future.

The fuselage painting is sooo impressive. I would be very happy if my 1/48 LVG fuselage from the Blue Max kit would one day look like this.

What a wonderful journey, please show us more of this ;)

Cheers,
Frank

It was surely a good decision. You have completed a spectacular model. The wooden fuselage is especially attractive. Congratulations!
