Eduard 1/48 Nieuport 11, Lufbery
« on: September 26, 2012, 04:46:43 AM »
This is Eduard's Nieuport 11 Profipack, argubly one of their nicest kits ever.  Nearly everything is in the box to build an accurate and attractive model.  On top of that, it is remarkably easy.  If I hadn't taken off for over 3 weeks on a couple vacations, I would've had this done in a month.  As it was, it took me 2 months to complete.  Not bad, really.  Kind of sorry she's done.  It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable build.  Hope you like her as much as I do.

Cheers,
Bud

Oh she`s a beauty. I like this scheme very much. Who`d  flown it? I agree I remember building Eduard`s Ni 11 as one of the most pleasant builds ever.
What colour did you paint the windshield?
Best regards
Filip

Thank you so much, Filip.  This is the Bebe flown by Sgt Gervais Raoul Lufbery of N124, Lafayette, 1916.  I painted the windscreen Misterkit medium brown, same as the surrounding area.  Maybe the light makes it look like a different color. ???
I remember your gorgeous little Nie.11.  It inspired me to build this one.  I'll have to do another in CDL, now.
Ooops!  Just noticed that the Lewis is off center.  :-[  I'll fix that right away.
Cheers,
Bud

Thank you, Gregory!  However, a master modeler would never misalign a Lewis like that. :-[

Thank you so much, mate.  This was really a fun build.  You know, the Special Hobby Bebe would be a nice, relaxing build after that amazing Taube  ;).
Cheers,
Bud
