What an ugly beast! Doesn't appeal to me - each to their own I suppose...
Which?  The Fokker or the Snipe? ;)
Cheers,
Bud

Hi Bud,

The Snipe - it may only be me but I don't find this aircraft particularly aesthetically pleasing.  No criticism of WNW or the model quality etc, but not my first choice.

I'm leaning towards the late version simply because of the decal sheets Rowan is going to bring out, very colourful, and the aeroplane has a better looking tail, IMO.

What he said.  Got mine on order.

It's not ugly and boring!
It offers a wide range of post war colourful schemes, many achieved by masking, not needing decals, though I know Rowans on it already

I hope they are thinking of a post war biff mark 4

This is one I have been waiting for. I'm more taken with the late version but i'm torn between the Russian scheme and a silver one. Maybe just buy 2 and be done with it.

I have ordered the late version, I really like the Soviet markings, something different.

Looking forward to you doing your work on this one Des.  Although the Snipe does not appeal to me, I am pleased to see WNW adding a bit of extra variety to the schemes.

Oh dear, another hit on the wallet!!  ;D

It'll be an Early one for me first. Get a Late version at some time. I do like the Russian one.

It is nice to note here how excellent WNW listens to their customers ;). After recieving my Fokker D.VII in december I had an E-mail discussion with Richard Alexander about some details for an LVA D.VII. He proved great help and I expressed my wish for a D.VIIF in the future with a BMW engine as most dutch versions had these engines. Now almost within a month WNW has reacted to my wish. That's listening to customers. Now the next will be the Fokker D.III and Rumpler C.VIII ;). Can't wait.

well thats the late one ordered along with 3 other recent releases. I nearly doubled the stash in one go. It should keep me quiet for a year or so I just need to invest in some more storage space.

I've ordered both kits too, especially since Rowan is releasing decal sets that really appeal to me.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Snipe... Ugly yes but what a great looing kit. I won't rush for one though, far too many projects on the go. But if I did it would be a late version, I just love the solver interawr colours on GB aircraft.

I'll keep hoping the BMW D.VII comes out when they say though, that one will be on my shopping list.

I wonder what other *unexpeced releases we are in line for though? :o
