Featured Releases
« on: June 28, 2013, 05:17:37 PM »
Apologies if this has been answered somewhere else, but..

I see that on the WNW's website they have the Pup as a 'featured release'. I was just wondering if this meant the kit has been updated in any way with a new run of production, or are they just pushing kits they need to sell more of or they've just produced another batch of the same kit?

The only reason I ask is that I've seen written a couple of times that the Pup is lovely, but not quite as refined as the latest releases? Is that the case?

Thanks

Guy

Is it because they are at a new price, or were they already at 69?

Guy - the Pup is a lovely kit and makes up to be a beautiful model, but there is an issue with the bottom wing/fuselage join, this area takes a bit of work to get the fit correct, if you have a look at my build log here   http://www.ww1aircraftmodels.com/page13.html   you will see the problems I had and how I rectified it.

Guy -- (web guy speaking here)  It's just a web site gimmick, the "featured kit" banner is simply an image that is programmed to appear randomly. It may be weighted so that certain images appear more frequently -- maybe they are overstocked on certain items, for instance.

Ok, that makes sense - thanks.

I'll look through your Pup build Des. The kits I've made so far have been such a perfect fit.

Although I'm looking forward to the new releases too - it's a struggle to know what to build next!

The last two Wingnut kits I built were the Hannover and the Sopwith Snipe, both these kits were an absolute delight to build, the fit of parts was perfect.
