I'm in between kits and wanted to keep the modeling going. So 3 on the bench or around it. Been doing a bit of work on this. Started with the wings for some reason.

Some on the side walls. Added a throttle cable and also a handle that was not present. .1mm silver nickle wire by albion. Doesn't really show up though.

It's nice to see another RNAS Pup being built. Very nice so far! There's a few others, but not as common here as the Fokkers and Albatros. I'll be following your build since I'm building pretty much the same version, but you're much further along. I started with the wings too of some reason. :).

Great start! All looks good and I really like the richness you've developed on the woodwork. I got the pulseometer from Taurus but it arrived too late to be installed. Seeing yours makes me wish I'd waited...but I plan to build a whole kennel of Pups so it will not go to waste.
I'm sure you've read the warnings posted by others about the situation with mounting the fuselage assembly onto the bottom wing. It's a pretty easy work around.

Micheal I'm not sure about the fuse / bottom wing fit. I have been watching your build and I read Des' build log and I've sear4ched others also. Maybe I just havent read far enough ahead for that. Will keep an eye out for it though. Thanks

Very little done again this weekend. Frame together and test fitting for the wing fit issue. So far so good.

Looks good! Great woodwork!
I will try and find the write up someone did about the fit.
Basically, you just need to be sure the fuselage will fit into the opening in the lower wing. And it is a very tight fit to get the fuselage around the cockpit assembly. Just test a lot before you commit to glue.

Thanks Micheal. I did another search after your warning and found a couple if write ups. I think it is covered. When I did a dry fit it all seemed to be okay. I have learned some things with this build though that will help with my 2 RFC kits. Things I should have seen before hand. So not thrilled with this build, but learning for next one.

Well this one is shelved for a while. Everything I have touched on it in last week has broken or fallen off. So fed up its not funny. Have pulled out a Pfalz IIIa that was shelved last year and repainted the tail where I screwed up before. Will see how that goes, but it is getting frustrationg not being able to do basic stuff that I have done for years. Getting ols and decrepit sucks.

I'm so sorry James. She was looking great! ;D But I know how you feel. My eyes aren't what they used to be. I have to wear magnifiers, and I can't work for long session much anymore.
It's a good idea to step away and work on the Pfalz for a bit. You can come back to the Pup later and it will fall into place. :)

James, it must be in the air, friend! I just about launched my JAAS Pup into orbit over the weekend. I managed to break off ALL of the cabane struts just as I was about to mount the top wing. I don't understand it. The first one went together like a knife through butter...maybe that was beginners luck. I ended up packing the kit up and shelving it at the end of the day yesterday. I'll get back to it when I'm feeling fresh. So, I feel your pain.
