The copper pipes look very convincing. What kind of paint did you use?

Thanks,
George

Hi!

I've used alclad copper. I use Alclad for metals wherever I can  ;)

Thanks for the reply, Andrew. I'll try that.

Exquisite work on the interior, Andrew!  And that Felixstowe your Dad built is amazing.  And it flies!
Cheers,

Hi!

I've finished the interior .
Almost all of the rigging will be invisible once inside that fuselage, but at least I know that it's there   ::)
No problem so far, this kit is a joy to build.

Meanwhile I've started to work on the engines. I've basically put on the base colors not much more.
On the block I wanted a weathered look, so I've tried the salt technique: I've sprayed the base grey, once dry I wetted the surface, randomly sprinkled some salt and I waited for it to dry. Once dry I sprayed a slightly darkned base color. When it was dry with a stiff brush I removed the salt and here's the result. It doesn't look bad to me... In real life is less evident than in pictures. I had taken some pictures of the process but they have dissapeared from my hard disk: digital carpet monster???  :o

That's all!

Andrea

You have done a fantastic job with all the internals Andrew, your choice of paint colours is excellent, and the engines are looking really good, well done so far.

Hi!

Back from holidays I've started to prepare the struts.
The base coat for the wood finish is on

I have a "problem" with the engine mount struts....
Are they seams lines (pointed with red arrows)? On a WnW it seems so strange  ::)
On my references I've found non good pictures of this area, so maybe someone who has already built this kit can help me  :)

Thanks!

Andrew
