German aircraft wind driven generators question

(1/1)

Dave in Dubai:
Hello,

Can anyone direct me to a picture showing the wiring connection points on the wind driven electrical generators, as fitted on the undercarriage leg struts of WW1 German aircraft?

Curious to see if the wiring is led from the back of the generator or at the side somewhere.

Need the info for a model project.

Have tried the search engines but have not found anything so far.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Dave in Dubai:
Steve and Justin, thank you!

The photo b&w of the generator on the leg strut looks like it has a lead from the back of the generator as well as one curling up from the top?

PiotrM:
Hi Dave
The wind generator was mounted at undercarriage legs becaouse there was special socked in fuselage.
plug and socket is seen at different pictures.
Tell me if you need something more.
All the best,
Piotr

PiotrM:
Here is basic scheme shown the radio installation.

I mark the plug and socked. Socked was mounted (generally) in bottom of the fuselage and if not connected was cowered by flap. Here is basic sheme shown the radio installation
