It has been about 25 years since I started mine but I seem to remember their being a misalignment issue with those booms so be careful! Your cockpit is looking great

I guess in a few days I will find out how well my test fitting efforts where . Only other P38 I built was Monograms kit and Revell 32 scale and that is going back 30 years !

Well Rick , you had me wondering on the fit of this now so I went and began gluing items together .

I started by adding the right boom followed by the left side , let this tack up for a half an hour . Tail was glued in next . Ever thing line up with min gaps , under side of the wing root will need filling in , but more on that later . I have a plan ..a cunning plan

A few more colours added to the pit and started the first round of weathering . A dry brushing of alum and a wash of future with black paint mixed in . Now comes the rest of the PE parts then final weathering .

I'm tickled to pink that it lined up and didn't have to spend hours sanding and carving plastic to get parts to fit .

Yep, Good job on lining it all up. Perhaps the twist was only in the earliest issues of the kit or more probably you are just that good

I understand your concern about getting the booms square - everything looks awful when they are not. However that looks the part - so now looking forward to seeing this one completed. Another excellent build from your workshop Alexis.
