Post by: RichieW on July 17, 2020, 12:12:35 AM
Here are some shots, hopefully showing useful details, of the Shuttelworth Collection's Bristol M1c replica.

I hope you enjoy the photographs even if you are not modelling this odd little bird. As always please feel free to download the full size images for reference material from my Flickr account.

Great walkaround Richie. I sure appreciate the shot of the underside of the wings. Boy did I get it wrong. I went with light blue, except my blue was waaaayyyy to bright. Oh well, a good excuse to build another M1c.
Thanks again

Thank you Richie for sharing such a great walk around with us!
You have an eye for the details.

Too bad you are not a basketball player with 2,20m, then we would have cockpit photos now.
But then you would earn millions and not take pictures of 100 years old airplanes, so everything is fine as it is. 8)

A big THANK YOU!
Frank

You are very welcome chaps, I enjoy taking photographs and if they help somebody make an accurate model it would make me very happy.

SP, you now have a great excuse to build another of these odd little aircraft. The mechanic told me it is really awkward to fly and the display pilot doesn't like it all!

Frank, I can compromise and take up walking on stilts. I will see if I can get to know the staff at the museum so they might let me get some cockpit photos.

Has anyone built the Special Hobbies 1/32 M1c? I built the Spin resin one in 1:48 and the Pegasus in 1/72. Are there any other offerings that come to mind?

Hi Bob, of course I don't mind. I took the pictures specifically for this forum. I'm very happy for them to be used.

Yes Shuttleworth is open and £15 gets you a 1 month pass. There is a drive in air display tomorrow. You can get tickets online still i think. Sadly Mrs W extracted a promise from me to attend a BBQ tomorrow before I realised the dates clash. Was wanting to the Tripe fly.

Good job on the pictures, Ritchie.
You could get a job as a photographer.

Thanks Ken, I did actually do a lot of wedding and portrait photography as a sideline and a number of my shots were used in books, magazines and musicians promotional materials. I found the endless hours of processing images on Photoshop utterly tedious in the end though. Glad you like the shots, I will make an effort to get round more museums once travelling feels safer and get some more sets done.
