Roden PKZ-2 Experimental Helicopter 1:72

Here is my Roden 1:72 PKZ-2 experimental helicopter complete at last, at the 2nd attempt. I used a bit of artstic licence to vary from the colours suggested on the box, ie I used brass for the fuel tanks etc.
The model is very delicate - it is not such an issue handling, painting and rigging the tiny parts, more that the structure is weak. The parts quality was ok, not too much flash to remove and the engines in particular are nicely molded.

Beautiful build Ian, I agree with you it does look very delicate, it was probably very delicate when they tried to fly it.
Cheers
Pete.

Ian,
Congratulation my old friend. It was a long hard fight but so very worth it in the end.

Excellent build of a truely weird looking contraption!
Was this thing actually successful?

It was well worth the effort Ian. It is definitely one weird looking machine and will definitely add interest to your collection.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks folks
Dave, it would appear that this aircaft was partially successful, ie it flew, but didn't get far in its development and the war ended before any sign of operational activities. That is what I found on the net anyway....

Ian,
Very nice and unique for sure; nice "save", many would have just stopped when she hit the floor!
Cheers,
