1/72 Eduard Nieuport 17
« on: December 05, 2023, 12:55:13 AM »
Another one comes off the assembly line.  Eduard Nieuport 17 depicting plane flown by Lt. Maurice Boyau, Escadrille N77, summer 1917. Paint was Tamiya XF16 and rigging was .005 Nitinol wire. A bit tricky getting the dragon decal to seat on the fuselage near the cowling but otherwise a pleasant build.

When I desire a quick build I turn to this Nieuport 17. It sure is a well engineered kit.

The Nieuport 17 is one of my favorite aircraft. Elegant and easy to build.

Beautiful job on a beautiful aeroplane, Jim, one of the true classics from the Great War. Love those markings; it looks like a great little kit. I haven't built a 17 since the boys and I put together the Hawk/Testor's kit over 25 years ago.

That is a colourful set of markings. A dainty aeroplane well represented in this model.

Very nice! And, as I always say, "You can never have too many Nieuports".
