Title: Airfix Spare Parts
Post by: Squiffy on January 17, 2015, 06:01:00 AM
Evening all.

A part is missing (or I have lost it?) from my HP O/400 kit.

Back when I used to build aeroplanes as a youngster, all Airfix kits used to include a form whereby one could send off for replacement parts. Airfix kits no longer include this form and I can find no reference in the instuctions as to how to go about sending for spares.

Can anyone help, please?

What part are you missing? When building mine I lost a strut so I just made one.
On a James May special he visited the Airfix headquarters and he toured the spares room. It was 2 or 3 years ago I saw the show but I hope they still provide that service.

Have a look here Squiffy,  http://www.airfix.com/support

If you scroll down you will see a button for Airfix Spares, hope you find what you are looking for.

Thanks, chaps. I found the missing part, one of the perfortated cones that form the rear of an engine nacelle. It has been trodden on on but is repairable. The other part is one of the engine supports but I'm sure I can make a replacement from plastic strip and card. If no, I'll give the link provided by Des a try.
