Having completed the WNW Pup I can finally fulfil my promise and join this GB.
So here it is, my shelfqueen, which waited a couple of months.
Lukgraph resin kit, a lovely floatplane of Polish make - Lublin R.XIIIG, dated at 1935, based at Puck Naval Base on Baltic Sea.
And I strongly hope, that this time I will work on it until it is completed.

I just got tired of resin... But now it is a resolution. I must complete it.

I do remember this project, Przemo, a big project and certainly very complex! It will look superb when finished - especially in your hands! Regards, Marc.

Nice work on the internals.
I find that resin does get tedious after a while.

Absolutely right, Kent. But this time I really want to complete this build, getting tired of it or not.
The interior basically complete. I have replaced the spare ammo drums with WNW plastic ones, they are a tad too large but it will not be so visible after closing the fuselage.

More progress on the fuselage. The joint is filled and sanded, carburettor and control rod fairing mounted. Some more filling and geometry correction underway, also on the fin and Townend ring.
And for an even better motivation I have purchased a great original painting by Robert Firszt with two Lublins over their Puck home.

Great, PrzemoL! Love to follow your build! I have never built a resin-kit, but fell in love with Lukgraph's Nieuport 29. Loving men tend to be irrational in their actions... Ooooo, what am I going to do?!

I have been remiss in checking out this section of the Forum...mostly because I have been embarrassed that I have done No work on My projects untill today. Most excellent result. That is an odd airplane with the low to the fuselage parasol wing and the long nose moment, yet all together it is a nice looking aircraft, The model is flawless and a real gem to look at.

So here is the final gallery of my Coronavirus build. Completed almost exactly to the 100th anniversary of Polish Naval Aviation, historically related to a city of Puck, where in July 1920 the Naval Air Base was founded. The presented Lublin R.XIIIG designed in 1935 was the mainstay of the unit in dark days of September 1939. Unfortunately this nice aircraft was obsolete in the war time and all of them were destroyed.

Thank you, gentlemen. I am very glad that you like my model of this aircraft. I am even more glad, that after over 1 year of stalled build i have it finally complete. Long overdue debt, to my friends from Lukgraph, and to history of Puck Naval Air Base. now finally paid back!

Excellent result. Very nice overall treatment of the ribs and underlying structure.

Hi PrzemoL
a very nice and very rare model.
I just came across your build report by chance.
Well, I immediately requested the model, unfortunately sold out.
But Lukasz will cast me another one.
Great service.
I have one question for you - no, there are several:
Which glue did you use to glue the resin parts?
Which green did you use?
Will the wing bend downwards over time due to the resin material?
Sorry, have only built plastic models so far, but as I said, this model is just beautiful.
I will also order the FF33L.
Sorry again, PrzemoL for all the questions.
Greetings from Bavaria

Bertl, no need to be sorry. Your interest in my build and kind words are very much appreciated.
Getting to your questions:
1 Which glue did you use to glue the resin parts?
2 Which green did you use?
3 Will the wing bend downwards over time due to the resin material?
1. I am using CA glue in two incarnations, liquid and gel, the latter gives a bit of time before setting to allow for quick correction of parts alignment. The former - serves as a filler simultaneously. I am using the brand available in Poland - Kropelka (a drop) but I am sure any make available in Germany will do the job, too.
2. I have custom mixed two Vallejo colours, a green and a grey, I do not remember now exactly which ones they were. As the colour pattern I used the authentic paint from the great range by Bilmodel - they are great, both in hue and in the mechanical quality and sprayability (ready to use in the airbrush) but unfortunately not for me as they are not acrylics. Bilmodel has a ready to use set of 6 colours for Polish Naval aircraft, you may wish to get it - 3 or 4 of them will be useful for Lublin.
https://24hobby.pl/pl/p/Zestaw-6-farb-LOTNICTWO-POLSKIE-WRZESIEN-1939-MDLot-BILMODEL-MAKERS-FZ004/9214
Actually, I have the set, in the unused state, and I will surely never use them - if you are interested I will gladly sell it to you for a reasonable price.
3. The wing is a solid piece of resin reinforced with a massive steel wire insert. IMHO there is no risk of sagging in Lukgraph models - also all the struts are solidly reinforced. Unfortunately, the massive wing is very heavy and the model may have problems with surviving transport, I doubt I will ever take it to any model contest, even when Covid nightmare is behind us.

Another beauty Prze,
Love it.

@PrzemoL
Hello PrzemoL,
Thank you very much for the precise and in-depth explanations.
Thank you also for the offer regarding the paints, but I also only use acrylic-based paints.
I think I will find suitable colours when the time comes.
I think that is an excellent idea to drill out the air bubbles and fill them with round plastic pieces.
The model certainly had great similarities to a hedgehog during assembly.
Did you also do putty work with the gel superglue?
Are there any detailed pictures of this aircraft to get as close as possible to the prototype during assembly?
Once again I would like to emphasise that your model is first class and has encouraged me to get this model as well.
Again, thank you very much for answering my questions.
Best regards from Bavaria to you and all my old friends in the forum,
Servus

Hi Bertl,
Yes, I am usually using the liquid CA glue as putty, not only in resin kits.
As for the documentation, there are not too many materials. To my knowledge the best is included in the magazine Historie Puckie No.6 (Putzig Geschichte) - the text is all in Polish but there are all the photos of Lublins that I am aware of, expanded views of the cockpit interior (not sure what they are based on, though, still the kit details are quite close to those) and 48th scale drawings. If you do not manage to acquire a copy, as it may be already sold out, send me a PM.
-
And thank you, Bob and Guy, for your kind comments!

Late to the party, but just another Masterpiece by you !
