So this is where I am as of this Morning. I have done the basic painting on the engine Today I will add the plug wires and do some detail painting on the Motor. I also hope to prime the major components.

Thanks Ken. I am amazed at how much more Modeling I am getting done now that I am Retired  ::) This kit is a beauty and as long as you are careful to follow directions goes together well.

Yeah, one day in 6 or 7 years, I'm gonna quit my job so I can build models.

I didn't used to be, but I'm a big primer guy now. The Tamiya spray bomb stuff is great.

Funny thing is I never prime...until I started working on these kits. I used a Tamiya Japanese Naval Grey airbrushed on for this one.

Thanks T!. This one is not going to be Aluminum Doped. It will be this one using the kit markings:

I pulled this photo from Google Images so as always if it violates anyones copyright I will be happy to remove it.

PS: Terri, when I do another Aluminum Doped 17 I will use the XTRA color Weiss Aluminum again as I liked the results.

Thanks Amigo! So todays progress. I have put on the "Initial" colors for the light blue under surface and the green portion of the upper surface camo. I will go back after the brown is applied and add some darker and lighter  shades...or at least that is the plan  8) I did manage to get a little green overspray on the lower fuselage which will be touched up later.
