Hi, friends,
The kit is from Bluemax. A pure shortrun that's particularly difficult to assemble. Basically, we've got a few main parts in a thick, but fairly soft plastic, with a molding including numerous flashes. The rest of the parts are in unusable white metal, notably the main struts.

I think it required at least 400 hours of work.
You've all encouraged me to finish this really arduous build... thank you so much!
Well, now I'll have to get down to work on a new layout, which will be a Roland C.IIa from Eduard. An old model that deserves a complete overhaul, keeping only the main parts ;D. But it should be less sporty!
A bientôt!
Arnaud

Congratulations! It's such a fantastic achievement, and one of my all-time favourites too. :)
-
Im amazed how many details you managed to add to the kit! Would be impressive in 1/32, but you did it in 1/48 ;)
Wonderful model!
-
AWESOME! I could admire these photos for hours... and it makes me wish someone making this kit in 32nd scale.
-
Truly magnificent work - just beautiful. A real gem.
Cheers,
Gary

While looking at these photos two words came to My mind. Reading the responses, I see they have already been used. I will simply repeat them together.
Magnificent Achievement!!

Magnificent, Arnaud. Absolutely magnificent. A long time ago I considered scratchbuilding one of these in 1:24, but ended up deciding to do a DH.2 instead (I got the empennage pretty well started, and then the project stalled...).

Mind blowingly brilliant! That is without question one of the finest models of any type I have ever set eyes on. I love it!

Me too, on all counts! Congratulations on a gorgeous model, Arnaud, and thank you so much for sharing your progress with us.

Awesome is the word for this model! That rigging looks great.
-
Magnificent work on a very difficult subject Arnaud, a beautiful model and a real testament to your skills and workmanship! Congratulations and you should be extremely proud to share this little beauty!
Cheers,
Lance

Arnaud,
An extraordinary job! The construction itself is amazing, but the weathering and accumulated dirt (as expected on a working aeroplane) takes it to a new level of realism. Congratulations--
-
Superb work on a challenging kit, well done!
-
Beautiful! You have transformed this kit into a work of art.
All the best,
Tim

brilliant! :) :) :)
-
Yeah, brilliant. Congrats!
-
amazing build - came out incredibly well!!
-
I'm just in awe at what you've done with this kit. Thank you so much, not just for showing it, but for your superbly detailed and thoroughly well explained build log. I have this kit myself; I certainly won't be approaching the high standard you've displayed here, but your words and pictures will be hugely helpful and inspiring.
Sheer excellence!

Absolutely amazing work!
A real 'cats cradle' of rigging there, too.

Agree with all the compliments, wonderful work! Too bad we do not have a decent 1/48 or 1/32 kit available.

Hello!
Oh my god, so many nice messages! :)
I don't know how to thank you.
The forum is an invaluable source of inspiration and motivation!
Thank you so much!
I've already started a new model: the Roland C.IIa Eduard, which is a very nice kit, but with lots of little mistakes or caricatured parts

Heavens! That's a labor of love. Looks spectacular especially with those Union Jacks on the underside. TOP DRAWER STUFF!
