Superb build! The straking is absolutely perfect.
Manni

Thanks for the comment Manni! Although not "perfect" I am very pleased with the overall look of the F1 streaking.

Thanks Bud. I always appreciate your support!

Yes.
Verry nice.
The streaking is extremely well done , I am sending a friend links as he struggles with that finish.
The SE's underwing subtle shading is exemplary as well.
Much kudo's!

Thanks Steve, a very nice compliment coming from a Modeler of your caliber.

I took a few more photos of the SE5a this morning in an attempt to get shots that show the true color of the Model. Better I think? No editing done here to the colors.

Both of those models look very very good to me - I think that the colours are really accurate given the variations in shade that are possible. Excellent paintwork.

Thanks Stephen for looking in and your comment. I have yet to find the right balance between aperture, F stop, and lighting but I may be getting closer  :o

Keep experimenting, Rick, your photography is steadily getting better. All that is really holding you back on this score is a proper lighting setup, methinks. A couple of white kitchen garbage bags, some pvc pipe and you can have yourself a dandy el cheapo light tent. That will kill the hard shadows...

Thanks Bo! I am truly making an effort here to get better photos. I think the clarity and close up detail has improved. I will have to try one of those "Cheap" Light Tents!

Rick,
first time looking in, and your work is great to look at, and is giving me the itch to get back to it. I am curious as to the difference in the tail(s) for the F.1 and the DRI. are the resin bits that much different? Each DrI kit has the rounded tail, so I'm curious. Also, lovely streaking(on the plane!) and paint effects you've captured. Great catch on the fuselage cross being centered as well. Nice work, and many questions answered in your thread.

The streaking on the F.I is very impressive and realistic, Rick, great job!

The S.E.5a is turning into a beauty as well. ;)

Cheers

Thanks Mike for taking the time to look in and catch up  :D I am happy to hear that my builds are getting you in the mood to build! AS for the tail planes there is a difference between the F1 and DR1. The F1 has a slight radii from leading edge to the elevators. The DR1 was a straight line. See the photo on page 2 of this thread of the Kit parts. Roden provides both in all of their DR1/F1 kits. So if building the F1 from Encore use the resin tail as it saves filling and sanding the ODD valley in the center of the tailplane. Thank you very much for the compliments!

Thanks Rick, the difference is in the center of the tail, the rounded leading edge is good. I'll check that bit.

Fantastic Rick! The streaking looks extremely convincing. I like the shade of PC 10 a lot!
