Can you get the E.1 from the E.II kit? I cross ref'd the parts sheets, but am sure there are some that know this bird much better than I.

I think the wingspan and the fuselage are shorter

Hi Mike
If you go to the WingnutWings site and more specifically the Model Images section on the Fokker E.1, they've interestingly included four colour photos which show built models of the E.I and the E.II/III alongside each other: side elevation port; side elevation starboard; plan view; front elevation.
They are very revealing in terms of the differences.
By the way and very very belatedly, congrats on the Featured Modeler status.
Best wishes
Nigel

Thank you for the feedback! I guess I'll be building an early E.II, and call it good.
Thanks Nige, I have to say, the learning and growth here is fantastic.

Hi Mike.
Dimensions apart as you surely know Fokker E.I had an 7 cylinder Oberursel U.0 80Hp engine and Fokker E.II had an 9 cylinder Oberursel U.I 100Hp engine.
Cheers

Z, yeah, I guess I got a little excited. I have two of these kits, so I get to do an E-II and an E-III late. I'll find some markings for some no- name pilot that maybe went on to be "somebody". Their may be some digging involved, but that is half the fun.
cheers,Mike

Mike, when doing the E.III be sure that the right side of the cooling extending to fuselage is rounded shape and not square shaped.

Immelman & Boelcke both flew the E.II I think.
