Today is a bank holiday here in England, so I had the day off work and planned to crack on with my Gotha but this afternoon I recieved a phone call from a friend who had a puncture on his old Land Rover and wasn't carrying a spare. Off I went to the rescue in my old crate of a Land Rover and found him at Sherburn-in-Elmet, where there happened to be a classic car show and a bit of an air display.
Among other things, there was a replica Fokker Dr.1 and an Airco DH-2 flying.

Well Squiffy, talk about a silk purse from a sow's ear! Thanks for the wonderful photos, the DR.1 in particular caught my eye as it's the scheme I used on my (to date) only Fokker Tripe. You must have really enjoyed the "windfall" aspects of your day!
Cheers,
Lance

Well, that was a bonus Squiffy. Thanks for the lovely close up of the DH-2.
