 I hope we, as a community, can remember Dave by holding a group build in his honour, like we did for our friend Des.
Perhaps allow upwards of 9 months for completion or by end of year.

I'm so sorry to hear this and condolences to Dave's family and all who knew him. Despite what he must have been going through, he always seemed to be good-natured and generous in his encouragement and enthusiasm for the hobby and the people within it.
