I thought the Snipe would be next, but oh no! It's got to be another colourful German Scout ;)
The box has been cracked, instructions fingered, sprues fondled and a plan of attack has been hatched...
Watch this cyber space ;)

There's smoke coming off the Vinyl Cutter, visibility's down to zero in flying sprues, and von Backtobuilding is off again! Good on you, Bob, another winner in the making! I'll enjoy following you along, if I can keep up to you!
Cheers, and ENJOY ;),

Hello Bob:
Be careful, these DVII's can be addicting. I did the Eric Just scheme, check out the built section, great kit, colorful markings, I know you will do an outstanding job on it. I am looking forward to seeing your take on it.

Good choice, VonFokkerwerks! I am anxiously waiting for your start.

Thanks all! I will do my best ;)
I've been busy of late with the wee buckles, but when (if) I get some free time, I intend to use it on the DVII
Mark, can you point me towards your Eric Just build?
Cheers,
Bob

Hello BVB:
I think this link will take you to it.

Hello Bob:
Thanks for visiting the Eric Just page. I know that you will do a great job on your model. It is one of my favorites and the finished scheme really is an eye catcher.
Looking forward to your build log.

Hi Bob,
Looking forward to this new build. I'm sure this will be another stunning model. We will all be watching in the front row.
Kind regards

Hello all,
Not much of an update, but wanted to let you know that I'm working on cutting masks for the 4 colour lozenge. I intend to spray the pattern on... Yes, I know... you think I've lost the plot, but wait and see. I have a plan! A plan, if executed well, will be a one off and no mistake!
Cheers,
Bob Von Loz :D

Go Von Bob, I love it when a plan comes together! ;) :D
Cheers,
Ernie :)

In the prototype stage, but worth giving you a sneak peak :D

Nice! Looks like it just might work, mate. I look forward to seeing the results.

Hello Bob:
This will be interesting to follow along. Your masks couldn't be any worse than the old Aurora Tracing on carbon paper lozenge templates.
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Do I smell a new product from the BVB?

BOB,
The Masks look very interesting! someone once did 1/48th masks I think but they weren't generally available or maybe I just missed them. A great idea if one wants to mix their own colors and spray.

Hi Mark,
I have no intention of bringing these masks to market. If they work out OK for me, I would do one off requests, but nothing more than that.
Not when we already have Aviattic doing their lovely loz ;)

The lozenge masks are very cool - maybe would be a good solution for the WNW Hannover fuselage and wing center section?

That's a possibility, but I would need the reference material to pull it off. ;)

I made these 4 colour lozenge masks for this Fok.DVII.
When it comes to lining everything up It will be a case of 'slap it on and hope for the best' ... just how I like it!
Cheers,
BVB ;)

Duh, what am I missing? They look waaaay too big!?

It's not meant to be a perfect fit. ???
I've allowed for plenty of wiggle and overlap ;)

Ah! Duh. Of course, makes perfect sense. I was fooled by the aileron cutouts etc to thinking it was a tailor fit.

A great concept you are working on Bob, I hope it all works out well for you and I look forward to seeing the first lot of paint applied.

Bob,
From the looks of your photo I think your masks will produce an awesome result! Looking forward to the next steps with great interest!

Not really an update... but just wanted to share with you my super duper airbrush holder. Oak base with metal insert - wire coat hanger tickled into shape with round nosed pliers.
Fits my H&S Infinity like a glove!
Let the spraying begin!

Hello Bob:
This is going to be interesting! A new slant on Lozengemania run wild!! I am curious to see how this turns out. Having done a similar undertaking with the Hannover. I want to do masks for the full Lozenge Hannover, so this will be a good tutorial for that undertaking.

I've also chosen Eric Just's colour scheme for my DVII build and just came across this thread Bob. I really like the idea of the lozange masks. I will follow your build with great interest and may even try my hand at making some masks if that is ok with you. If your DVII is anything like your Pfalz it will be stunning.

I think that would be a segment that would get a lot of requests. (At least from me ::))
