I would also like to commemorate Des by making the model Nieuport No 16 1: Special Hobby.

Is time to show my progress with Nieuport.
Parts from the interior of the aircraft's fuselage were cut and prepared for painting.

Aircraft fuselage halves and side frames have been painted in wood color. The canvas on the back of the plane's fuselage is HGW decals, I did it because I wanted to see how it looks and in the future I can use it.

In my opinion, the pilot's chair should be correct and I did it on the basis of the photo.

I prepared the other parts of the cockpit, but the control column broke and will need to be done again.

Hi Adam,
This is looking to be a great build.
I built the SH Nieuport 11 Bebe and have a full build PDF on my site (link below) if you're interested.
The aircraft are similar and there's information and mods that you may find interesting.
The PDF is in Gallery 1 - double click to read or download,

Thank you Mike for sharing link for your Nieuport 11. It is very interesting.
Now is small break with my Nieuport , but I think I will start building my Nieuport soon.

Coming along very well so far Adam . I like your wood tones and your seat looks super !

This break was longer than I thought. :-\
Currently, the interior of the fuselage is finished.
I modeled on the cockpit of Nieuport 11.
I made a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge and clocks.

For clocks from cockpit I used decals from Airscale, the ones visible in the picture are already corrected, unfortunately I did not take a picture.
Now fuselage was glued and it will be grinding.

This Nieuport is very difficult. It requires many improvements, so I rather know, that I will not finish it on time, but I will continue work, to commemorate Des.
Fuselage is already glued.
There is no place to mount the upper wing, so I had to do it.

There are also no places to fasten the lower wing and the horizontal and vertical stabilizer. I had to do it too.

The engine has a few damaged parts and one spark plug has chosen freedom :P. I bought new spark plugs from the Taurus Model, they look much better. ;D I will make the rods of the valve dipper myself.

According to the instructions engine aircraft should be glued to the fuselage, I decided that it will rotate, had to make a hole for the axis.

The engine body and cylinders are painted.

Terrific work! Those cylinders look stunning!

Adam, I am sorry to have missed tis - there are just so many good builds here....! This is really good and it seems that you are having to scratch almost as much as assemble with this kit. However the improvements are well worth the effort. I too rate the Taurus spark plugs - they are amazingly good.
I too will not be able to finish my project unfortunately, but like you I will finish it as a tribute to a great modeller - Des.

The engine is looking good, Adam. When you say there is no place to mount some of the parts, do you mean there are no locating pins and holes for alignment? That is better than having them in the wrong places!
Good luck continuing with this build!
