SE5a reproductions by The Vintage Aviator Ltd
« on: October 14, 2012, 07:24:46 AM »
Most of us are probably well acquainted with the three SE5a reproductions built by TVAL. They are well covered photographically on TVAL's website so these photos focus on the little details for those of us afflicted by AMS (advanced modeller syndrome)

Notice the strap retaining the engine cowling:

Priming cups:

The effects of usage are interesting to observe, mud splashes, exhaust residue etc

Jamo,
Many thanks for all your wonderful Photo contributions, as Uncle Tony stated they are "treasures". These, along with the Link, are as exciting as the hard copy stuff I've gathered over the years, mainly the Data Files, Special, and SE5a Squadron releases from Albatros. Your provision of this coverage and all the others is most appreciated. Although acknowleged as Repro's the TVAL credentials make them as close or good as you can get to an original IMHO............I'll use your stuff often as I have already done.
Cheers,
Lance
