Meng 1:35 British Mk.V Male with full interior
« on: October 23, 2017, 02:06:05 AM »
I’ve finished Meng’s Whippet and FT-17 tanks which impressed me with their overall quality of their kits and instructions. So, having some strange affinity to modeling full interiors of tanks, I launched their Mk. 5 build. I liked it. I had various thoughts about how to display the interior on the finished model, but the only workable one for me which retained the ability to keep the model “whole” for display as well, was to make the sponsons removable. It worked out pretty well. Here are a few shots of the finished model. If you are interested in the build saga and more photos visit my blog: http://modelsinscale.wordpress.com

That looks great! The removable sponson is a clever way to show the interior.  I also have an affinity for tank interiors, and I have the same kit in the stash.

Beautifully done, it is always nice to see what the inside of these tanks looked like,
