Thanks Gary! I may consider dragging it to the Western Regionals in future but you won't be seeing her at CapCon in two weeks!
Cheers,
Lance

Having read what you've done to this kit, I think it deserves a trip to CapCon as I'd sure like to see it up close and personal. It's a brilliant job all around Lance, and I sure don't see the warts you've alluded to. I'd sure be proud to call it mine and have it grace my collection. I know it's been a bit of a struggle to get it to the finish line but it was worth every moment spent on it. Well done my friend!

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Excellent build Lance!

Most impressive, especially so considering the kit's challenges.

Your paint and lozenge work really is spot on, as is your very successful re-engineering of wing and undercart struts.

And your streaky wing, just great!

If Fokker had built EVs to your standard, Jasta 6 would certainly have been a very happy unit  :)

Thank you for the compliments Boggie, I suspect we all tend to draw into ourselves with many of our efforts and lose perspective on what passes the test of quality, or not. As we often say to one another, "our own worst critics" and like comments. One of the great attributes of the membership here is the support and encouragement shown to one another, and I'm flattered by the comments I've been receiving on this effort.

It's hard to come up with anything original after reading all of the fine and deserved comments regarding the build.  Following along as I have and knowing the frustration and challenges you met, faced headlong and overcame, this is one outstanding build.  As has been mentioned, I don't see the warts and a spot at CAPCON would be graced by this fine example of modeling craftsmanship.  A hearty USMC OOORAHH!

There it is... I like it. It's build with so many aditional details. Wow. The paint job is excellent, too. Hats off!

Lance,

An outstanding result! If I could only get my 1/72 craft to looks half as good, I'd be an extremely happy camper.

Congrats on another find addition to your collection :)

Very nice work. Didn't realise the kit had that many issues. You've certainly addressed them very well. I mentioned on RAG's version the Pheon decals really do help and the same applies here. I have this in my stash so will use your build along with RAG's version for advice when I eventually get round to it.

Thanks Toby, and please don't be deterred by my "whining", in the end it's a decent Kit! Just takes a little extra effort, is all!!
