Great start Rick, did not know that the Roden radiator was that much off.  Will follow with enthusiasm.

Looks like it belongs Rick.  I will be following your build.  I like these Roden kits, although haven't done in awhile, but; they build into a nice model and yours are always outstanding.

Thanks for looking in and commenting Mark! I do like the Roden kits in spite of the extra work required. In addition I really like the Albatros in particular, one of my favorite WW1 Arcrafft. This will be my third Roden version and fifth Albatros overall in 1/32nd scale.

Thanks Amigo. Yes he Jasta 10 scheme from GvW Albatros Productions von Richthofens Flying Circus. Yellow nose, black band backing cross, flanked by narrower white bands outlined with black. I will check for a profile shot that is online.

Rick, please post pics of all your Albatrosen together once this one is finished.  You have quite an impressive collection.
Cheers,
Bud

I have begun with the interior wood tones. Just a little more to do until I am satisfied. I plan to add just a bit of raw sienna.

Really nice start Rick, and that scheme is one of my favourites for the D.III, really representative of the "wooden finish" birds. I may have to keep my eyes open for one of these, I really enjoyed the one that started me into 1:32 Scale and as someone has said here, "you can never have enough Albies"!
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Lance. I would Love to see you do another Albatros! As we all know, the Roden kits really build up nicely with some effort and were here before WNW spoiled all of us  8)

Ooops, I almost missed this thread. Great to see your progress on another build, Rick, very nice work so far!

The subject you have chosen is a great choice from my POV, Albatrossen with wooden fuselages are simply beautiful.

Should you need masks for the marking, let me know, will be happy to help.

Cheers
