Dagmar
You mind sharing a little what you used for the excellent weathering?  Chalks, oils?  Like others have stated it's extremely well done especially where the fabric is over the metal fuselage parts.

Great job on the weathering. This has definitely shown me a new skill that I need to learn.

Thanks Charlie and Philip!
Weathering is done with a combination of soft pastels, oils and acryls applied in different layers.

Superb weathering.  One of my next projects is the Eduard Fokker D-VII in 1/48th.  You've given me some great
ideas that I need to try on that project.  Thanks!

Great paint job! It really looks like it's been "through the war".  :) Your finish techniques are top notch.

It hard for me to imagine the German mechanics that would let their Jasta Commander's aircraft deteriorate into such poor condition. :-\

Also, most experts believe that the striped tailplane in not correct and just speculation on Eduard's part as there are no known photographs of Franz Buchner's plane showing the stripes. I think the general consensus is that it was the same shade of blue as the fuselage.
