Sopwith Pup, Eduard 1:48
« on: May 29, 2017, 02:00:47 AM »
My lately finished model is one of the first Eduard kits in 1/48: the Sopwith Pup
May be someone now the kit, plastic short run but great PE. I added a Small Stuff rotary (which is able to rotate here), a Vickers from a PE set of Parts, the new Eduard steel seat belts and decals provided by Pheon. I replaced some parts by brass ones and created many wooden parts like airscrew, struts, gear, cockpit cover ...
The paints re Gunze, Alclads and oils.

Cheers,
Frank

You can see trough the Vickers:

You made my day - thank you!

At the end I used only 6 plastic parts of the kit :o But with the PE and all added details I really love the outcome. And as far as I know there is still no modern kit of a Pup in 1/48.
May be I should mention, that the stitching on fuselage and cockpit leather are Eduard PE for 1/72. Looks better compared to the 1/48 ones.

Cheers,
Frank
