Hi, you've got the 45% Aviattic lozenge sets - they are the correct ones... You'll need white backed bolts for the rib tapes, is that what you mean?
Regards
Richard
By bolts do you mean rolls of fabric? Sorry for being a bit dim.

Yes - a bolt is a "run" of fabric, as opposed to the "joined" sets I do that simulate the bolts trimmed and sewn together as they were applied on wings.
Richard
Thanks Richard. Can you post a link to the items I need. I have ordered some more stuff from you a couple of days ago so will have to do a new order for them. More business for you. :)

Engine now finished. Not happy about some of the spark pug leads(don't work when tired being the motto here) but I will position the engine so they won't be seen.
I haven't gone to the fine detail Lance has with replacing the thick pushrods with thinner ones though.

Thanks all.
I've decided to go for the D.III 8349/18, Kest 4b September 1918 option. The red is up for debate. I've found Vallejo Fire red looks fairly close but would it have been Jasta red?

The fire red is comparatively  dull but under flash it comes out a lot brighter. I have some Jasta red and that really is bright even without flash enhancement..

Looks fine. What is "Jasta Red"?

If the red is up for debate, I would say it is rather bright to my eyes, so I would rather tone it down a bit in this large scale.

Of course, it is fair to say that my perception might be distorted by the Kraplak I have used on my Albie. ;)

Very nice work so far, Toby, it looks like large scales are a great playground for you. It really looks great, sir!

I agree with Ondra - this is developing well. Looks like a very interesting build is on the way.
