On this day.....

It's an old model, but seems appropriate for the day.......

And that Bloody Red Baron went spinning outa sight."

Thanks guys, it's an old one from last century!
If I remember this started life as the Merit (J&L Randall) repop of the old Aurora kit, so I think the scale was something like 1/43!

(It got best of show at an IPMS ScotNats in Glasgow in the 90s then disqualified because the judges decided the prop was made of wood. It wasn't, but they wouldn't believe me unless I cut it in half to prove it was the kit plastic. I told them where they could stick their membership and have never been back to IPMS since. Happily, Airfix thought it was good and gave me a 1/24 Harrier kit as compensation.)

Now, that's bloody anal! Most of my props are hand laminated and carved wood, guess I wouldn't have fared well in that crowd either! Beautiful subject and display anyways, Sandy, and a fitting tribute!
Cheers,
Lance
