Thank-you all of you for the kind comments , they are very appreciated
Juan , at the moment there isn't any mojo for WW 1 aircraft . Taking a break for a spell and work on other subjects . After I finished the two projects on the bench it will be time to clean out the hanger queen section . I have a few WW 1 subjects .
Ed , It was an enjoyable build and the cockpit does have better detail then what the Tamiya kit has . The wheel wells have basic detail ( cockpit has better ) . The wheels don't look right but the legs can be modified for after market ones . There is no rad detail in the front intake . Every thing is press fit , nothing snaps together . I have another in the stash but it's one I will not by again at 90 Cdn it isn't worth shelling out that kind of coin . I will stick with Tamiya kit ( 5 in the stash ) Airfix is releasing a new tooled Pony this fall and the test shots look very promising . They even have the early tail included . Next year Eduard is releasing their take on the subject . So looks like more will be added in the future .
Steve , For the metal finish I used Vallejo Metal Coat . Started using this system last year and I'm more then please with the results . In the past I was using Alclad and had nothing but troubles with it .
Pepperman , no it will not be my last
