Which WNW Camel for Woolletts' D6402?
« on: February 20, 2017, 11:37:04 PM »
I have enough sales to order a Camel now. I want to do Woolletts' D6402 or perhaps another 43 squadron bird like B5620. I am assuming the Clerget version of the WNW kit is correct but would like some confirmation. I know there are references out there with the answer so I hope anyone with a better reference library than mine provide the info.

Hey Rick, according to the Camel File, D6402 was ordered 9/Jan/18 from Boulton & Paul with a Clerget 9Bf 140hp engine.
B5620 was ordered 16/4/17 from Rustin Proctor with 130hp Clerget 9B.

Thanks for the quick response and taking the time to look this up! I don't know how much of a difference there is between the 130 and 140 HP engines but at least I know the Clerget version of the WNW kit is the correct choice.

PS: A quick look at the WNW instructions shows that they have both engines covered in the kit!

No problem, the Air Britain Files sit on a shelf right beside my workspace so it took a few seconds to look up.

Besides, anything to help see more models in beautiful subtle PC10 rather than dayglo pink, polka dotted, candy striped, playground coloured Fokkers!!!
